You can easily spend an entire day at Universal Studios Singapore, and honestly, I think you should.
USS isn’t exactly a cheap attraction, so if you’re already paying for the ticket, give yourself the whole day to enjoy it and get your money’s worth. Ride as much as you can, meet the characters, watch the shows, take ridiculous amounts of photos, and stay until evening if the park schedule allows.
Here’s what I enjoyed, what I’d recommend, and one ride I’m still gathering the courage to try. 😂
Book Your USS Tickets Ahead
My first tip is simple: book your tickets online before your visit.
It saves you from spending unnecessary time sorting out tickets when you arrive. Once you’re inside, you’ll already be doing enough waiting in ride queues.
USS also offers a Universal Express option for skipping regular queues at participating attractions, which may be worth considering if you’re visiting on a busy day.
You may the check official Universal Studios Singapore Website for their schedule.
Give USS a Whole Day
Don’t squeeze Universal Studios Singapore into just a few hours if you can avoid it.
There are rides, shows, character meet-and-greets, themed areas, shops, food, and plenty of photo stops. I recommend arriving early and treating USS as your main activity for the day.
Also, wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You’ll be walking and standing a lot.
And bring water. Singapore heat + walking around a theme park all day = hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
Eat Before Going If You’re on a Budget
Food inside USS can add quite a bit to your spending, so if you’re trying to travel on a budget, eat a proper meal before heading to the park.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat anything inside. If your budget allows, trying some of the themed food is part of the experience—and sitting down for a meal or snack gives you a much-needed break between rides.
I just wouldn’t arrive starving unless you’ve already budgeted for it. 😂
The USS Rides I Recommend
Now for the fun part…
TRANSFORMERS The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle — My Favorite
If I had to choose one favorite, TRANSFORMERS wins.
This was just SUPER COOL.
It’s an indoor 3D thrill ride that puts you right in the middle of the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons.
The movement, visuals, and effects made this one of those rides where I came out thinking, Okay, I want to do that again.
My verdict: Don’t skip it.

Revenge of the Mummy — Bring Some Courage

Then there’s Revenge of the Mummy.
This is an indoor roller coaster in the Ancient Egypt zone, and much of the experience happens in darkness.
I recommend it—but here’s your warning:
Bring some courage because this ride might rearrange your digestive system. LOL.
I survived, though. And I’d probably do it again.
Probably. 😂
Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure — Prepare to Get Wet
I also enjoyed Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure.
It’s a water ride through Jurassic Park, so don’t assume you’re coming out completely dry.
We had rain protection and still got wet.
If you’re planning to ride it, I recommend bringing an extra shirt or something you can change into afterward. Protect anything in your bag that shouldn’t get wet too.
Getting soaked is basically part of the fun.
The One Ride I Didn’t Dare Try: Battlestar Galactica
And then there’s Battlestar Galactica.
Nope.
I looked at it.
I thought about it.
And I decided I still enjoy being alive. 😂
USS has the HUMAN and CYLON Battlestar Galactica coasters, and the current rider guide lists a minimum height of 125 cm for both.
Maybe one day I’ll finally have the courage.
But for now, I’m perfectly happy watching other brave people scream from below.
Don’t Skip the Characters and Entertainment
USS isn’t only about rides.
When we visited, the Minions were a big part of the experience, and meeting the characters was honestly so much fun. Sometimes these little moments end up being just as memorable as the rides.
Today, USS has an entire Minion Land, with attractions including Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Buggie Boogie, and Silly Swirly, plus Minion-related character experiences.
Character appearances and entertainment schedules change, though, so check what’s happening during your visit rather than planning around one specific character.

My Tips for Visiting Universal Studios Singapore
If I were doing USS again, these would be the things I’d remember:
- Book online ahead of time and arrive early.
- Give yourself a full day rather than rushing.
- Eat before entering if you’re traveling on a budget.
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- Bring water and stay hydrated.
- Pack an extra shirt if you’re riding Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure.
- Prioritize your must-do rides first, especially on busy days.
- Check current ride closures, showtimes and character schedules before your visit.
- Don’t spend the entire day rushing from one ride to another—take photos and enjoy the themed areas too.
- And if you’re braver than me… go ride Battlestar Galactica and tell me how it went. 😂
Is Universal Studios Singapore Worth It?
For me, yes—especially if you give it the whole day.
My favorites were definitely TRANSFORMERS, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, while rides like Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey, Canopy Flyer, and Treasure Hunters gave us something a little more relaxed in between.
And I think that’s what made the day fun.
You don’t have to ride absolutely everything to get your money’s worth. Pick the experiences you genuinely want to try, meet the characters, take your photos, laugh at yourself screaming on the rides, and enjoy being a kid again for a day.
As for Battlestar Galactica?
Maybe next time. Maybe. 😂
